The Best of Berkeley 2008 is the Daily Californian’s annual reader-voted contest to find the best people, places, and businesses in Berkeley. Berkeley's Telegraph Avenue is the avenue of dreams. One of most interesting streets in the San Francisco Bay Area, crafts vendors daily line the sidewalks, selling their handmade clothing, jewelry, crafts and artwork. Diverse cultures are represented in the local stores, restaurants and cafes. Indian restaurants, Persian cafes, classic American record and video stores, hip cafe/restaurants, world famous book stores - all are part of the colorful landscape of Telegraph Ave.
